When Death Knocks

What matters most when one dies for what she/he loves?

Death is part of the theme of life, no one can avoid it, it is always a mystery for everyone.

The deep love and happy moments shared with the dying love one is what counts most and to be there with him or her at this most crucial moment. But part of the mystery is we don’t know where, when or how so the best way is to live each day as if no other tomorrow would come when it comes to sharing love, respect, happiness with the ones we love. Make and add something everyday unforgettable so at a certain point of our life that death would knock, we have a legacy of many unforgettable memorable moments.

After death of a love one, life goes on, there’s healing and another kind of growth in life but the deceased loved one stays in our heart forever, it’s the happy and most fulfilling moments shared with the deceased love one that lives in our heart and mind.

All that truly matters is that you both loved each other or rather he loved or she loved.

Inspiring lines from great thinkers:

Grief can awaken us to new values and new and deeper appreciations.
Grief can cause us to reprioritize things in our lives, to recognize what's really important and put it first.
Grief can heighten our gratitude as we cease taking the gifts life bestows on us for granted.
Grief can give us the wisdom of being with death.
Grief can make death the companion on our left who guides us and gives us advice.
None of this growth makes the loss good and worthwhile, but it is the good that comes out of the bad. ~ Roger Bertschausen ~

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. ~ Kahlil Gibran ~

Participate joyfully in the sorrows of the world. We cannot cure the world of sorrows, but we can choose to live in joy. ~ Joseph Campbell ~

Which one hurts the most?

Last January, 19, 2011, I came across with a question:

Which one hurts the most?
* I love you … goodbye…
* I love you… but I lied…
My personal reply on this after a quick reflection is NONE.
Why? What is the use of “hurt” dwelling in a heart?
If any of these happens, being hurt does not have a room for a heart that is free and a heart that knows who and what’s unworthy.
I love you, good bye = freedom and moving on.
I love you, but I lied = where there is dishonesty, there is no respect.
Where there is no respect, there is no love.
As for what hurts and what may hurt most? You have the only key to your emotions if you want to get engage on such painful process or enkindle your soul once more with courage, joy and love, flowing in a river of awakening and sharing with a heart who once knew that hurt, pain, loss means to SHINE!

Seeing life and situation for what it is...

Which is better seeing life, person, a situation through a filter perception or through observation (wisdom)?

Living life, interacting with people, seeing a certain situation, observing some incidents and experiencing a certain situation or simply seeing through observation with one's unique wisdom.

This was an essay I prepared and shared to another site last January, 2011 and I may sound philosophical but it can be good in communication and understanding:

The calm knowing that allows us to see clearly is wisdom. It means seeing life with pure thought without the filter of our habitual thinking, for example: relationships are difficult, life is like a wheel, the truth hurts, sweet is pleasure after pain, no guts no glory, women's wagging tongues and men can be chauvinist. These habitual thoughts are discarded when you let wisdom take a role in your perceptions.

Don’t let any insecure, habitual thinking caught us up when we look through a person or a situation. When we are clouded with our own past (+ -), beliefs (+ -) , judgements (+ -), like looking through a glass of dirty water then we look through a person on a perceptual filter.

But if once in a while avoiding what should be on the world of projection or perception, but change our way of seeing into actual reality of observation. Seeing life, a person and a situation from observation with wisdom, what we see are:

* insights

* wisdom

* compassion

*understanding

This way we see life, the person and the situation: as is or what it is.

Seeing life from observation view point not the perceptual view point could calm us down and allow us to follow our heart. This does not mean we are not being objective or being emotional but simply, our thoughts, words and action is uncontaminated.

Observation in a natural way is seeing life, the person and the situation as in reality.

Many of us often go through life caught in the filter of perception that is composed of our habits of thinking: attitudes, opinions, stubbornness, past memories, judgements, close mindedness: if we always let all these affect us in a negative way then what comes out is a personal bias.

To maintain a good communication with our partners, in the line of work or with anyone: it is better to see life, someone or something by observation not by filter of perception and don’t let negative emotions grip our better judgement or decision in any matter.

Breathe with a genuine good heart, a gifted brain and a generous soul

Thoughts, Reflections on Intelligence, Talents, Education and Perseverance

Luck does not only happen by chance, we make that happen. I've been through ups and downs in life and we don't just wait for luck or simply for a fortunate situation. We, ourselves, are the major contributing factor to whatever we believe that it is simply good luck.

Those ones who have gained titles or honours were measured through their results in school tests & kept to the standards or levels imposed & that came out from hard work, for those who have achieved this because they persevered, they had goals which they painstakingly worked hard for to materialize, as other people's sour grapes thought it was through favoritism but these persevering, determined, hard working goal oriented individuals made it happen and used the possibilities, resources and any chances right in front of them. However, titles or honours or high positions or special titles are not what is all in life although they can be used to influence or make an introductory impact, but there is a world much bigger out there that one has to use all together:

positive attitude in life + one's intelligence + character = making better positive contributions not only in our lives but for others.

In any particular, specified, field or job: qualification is still needed and ones' experiences, these good paying jobs do not happen by chance, the applicant must have that right qualification, experiences and proficiency, character and attitude, ability and capacity: all these are considered on such position (so you can't just simply say, luckily employed because it is not applicable to many).

We all have inner talents and intelligence: the question is: how far have we developed it? How far have we known that we can always improve ourselves wherever we are now? (with diploma or without it)

I don't believe that there is a dumb person in this world, each one has an inner talent, the ability & capacity. Each one has just their own phase. It is not the quantity but the quality. Did such individual do something to develop and use his/her inner talent or intelligence?

Education does not stop in school, learning continues in every experiences we do every day. The possibilities to success, for this good luck and good life are endless, whether we are in abroad or way back in our country and it all takes is:

intelligence + character + attitude + ability to make a valuable difference

When you have all these and put them in good use, you shine like a star, it is not forced but it is natural. There's something in the depth of your personality that breathes a genuine good heart, a gifted brain and a soul that reaches out. And when we affirm anyone, to inspire, we reach out self-awareness to others in a very positive way.
